Blend Lab

Raso = sensory character. Karsa = design intention.

The blend simulation combines West Sumatra Arabica, Java Arabica and Robusta structure, then applies roast and processing direction to predict body, acidity, sweetness, chocolate, fruit and spice.

Origin roles in the simulation

West Sumatra Arabica
Raises fruit and acidity while contributing sweetness and aromatic lift.
Java Arabica
Builds balanced body, chocolate and spice.
Robusta structure
Raises body and chocolate, lowers acidity, strengthens milk-coffee presence.

Roast and process direction

ChoiceSimulation effectUse when...
Light-mediumMore acidity and fruit; less body/chocolateYou want lift, filter suitability or brighter black coffee
MediumBalanced structureYou want versatility across espresso and milk
Medium-darkMore body/chocolate, less fruit/acidityYou need stronger milk-drink presence
WashedCleaner acidityClarity matters
HoneyMore sweetness and bodyBalanced signature blend
NaturalMore fruit and sweetnessExpressive, adventurous profile
Production discipline: The Blend Lab predicts direction. A real blend still requires cupping, espresso testing, milk-drink testing, resting, consistency checks and cost/sourcing validation.
If a blend disappears in milk, which simulated adjustment is most likely to increase structure?
Increase Robusta structure or move roast slightly deeper.
Reduce all coffee and add more syrup.
Always move to the lightest roast.
