Iced coffee is a dilution problem as much as a temperature problem.
Ice amount, drink temperature, cup size, milk volume and espresso intensity interact. The same recipe can taste thin with excess dilution or overly concentrated with too little ice.
Three ice scenarios used by Brew Challenge
Less dilution and more liquid volume in the cup. Useful only when intentionally requested.
Prototype default for many iced recipes.
Colder service and faster dilution. Balance sweetness and strength carefully.
Build order for iced milk coffee
Prepare the flavor base
Measure palm sugar or syrup accurately.
Add milk or mixer
Use the requested milk type and volume.
Add measured ice
Do not “eyeball” if consistency matters.
Pull espresso fresh
Add espresso promptly to preserve aromatic impact.
Finish and serve
Foam and garnish should match the specific drink and customer request.
Cup-size scaling used by the simulation
When a scenario changes cup size, the engine scales milk and sweet/flavor components so the drink remains recognizable. The training factors are approximately:
Reduce supporting ingredients while protecting the espresso identity.
Base recipe reference.
Increase milk/sweetener/flavor proportionally; check whether espresso strength also needs a deliberate customer-driven adjustment.
